Your camera will go through a lot in it’s journey. Whether it’s brought out for those key moments you want to capture or it goes everywhere with you in your trusty camera bag – every now and then it needs a little TLC.
The sensors on interchangeable lens cameras can over time become susceptible to dirt or dust – especially when changing lenses. A piece of dust in the wrong spot could ruin that perfect picture, and no one wants to be faced with this.
At Jessops, every one of our stores are set up to be there when you need your interchangeable lens camera cleaned. We use a wet clean which provides the fastest, most effective and safest clean for your camera’s sensor. We can clean the majority of interchangeable lens camera sensors in as little as 1 hour.
We recommend getting your sensor cleaned every 6 months minimum, and definitely before any major events and occasions.
Getting a sensor clean at Jessops is as easy as 1, 2, 3!
1. Call your local store to check the availability of the service you require
2. Take your camera – complete with body cap and fully charged battery to the store with you
3. Let the store know when you’d like to pick it up – and they’ll book it in and take the payment required

What to bring with you:
- Your camera – including body cap (lenses are not required)
- A fully charged battery
Please note, we cannot clean lenses, compact cameras, large format cameras or camcorders.
We will clean your camera’s sensor for you and, for an additional charge, can clean the outer of your camera. The viewfinder of your camera may have dust inside it – this exists within the interior of the camera, we won’t be able to clean this, but this shouldn’t affect your image quality.

Just one last thing…
One quick tip to help you keep as little dust from your sensor as possible. When you’re changing your lenses, try and keep your camera facing downwards and out of dusty conditions. Replace any body caps and lens caps as quickly as possible and you’re winning.
